I grew up in a period when western films were very much the in thing and John Wayne was King of the range.Those early childhood memories have turned into a lifelong interest in the old west as it really was not the cleaned up version that those films portrayed.Billy the Kid, Buffalo Bill Cody,Luke Short ,The Earp Brothers,Tom Horn.None of them were clean cut all american heroes but they did share one thing. They left their mark on the history  books just as much as Abraham Lincoln or Andrew Jackson.They were the stuff that made America what it is.
